What is the exit strategy for Donald Trump in this game of Tariff Chicken that he is playing with so many lives?

Can Donald Trump spell the word Tariff?

It is perhaps a tricky word that has two vowels and a double f consonant.

Donald Trump thinks that a tariff is a tax on a foreign country, and Fox News (the fake Fox?) plays with this false reality with its daily listeners. As has already been pointed out by many, a tariff is a tax upon the consumer. A 100% tariff on Chinese goods would be equivalent to a 100% sales tax or VAT as they call it in Europe. The only difference is the tariff is paid at the loading docks when the goods roll off the ship instead of at the cash register where you pay for stuff at Walmart. There is virtually no difference. A tax on goods is a tax on goods.

Yet, Donald Trump has gotten his yippy supporters to cheer for a 100% sales tax upon the majority of the goods that they buy (most items sold in the US now come from China).

He purports to be doing this so that he can bring back manufacturing jobs to the United States. Manufacturing represents just 20% of the total US economy. That is because the United States has wisely transformed itself into a services economy. Well, actually, I would call it an assembly-value-added-marketing economy. This is fitting as the average American is better versed in business logic and understands marketing tools as well as appreciates the complexities of the consumer mind far better than most other countries.

It seems to work for Americans to buy goods from emergent nations and then repackage, rebrand, remix and sell according to a more elevated style and developed matrix of business logic. Manufacturing is hard work, sweaty labor in factories with low wages and shitty health care. Good for emerging nations, bad for most Americans.

But Donald Trump is now threatening to crash this American possibility after taking away the source ingredients by doubling the price of parts needed to build stuff in the current American sales and marketing economy. This, also, after very rudely deporting the cheap labor from the many foreign immigrants who also provide yet another ingredient in the made-in-America mix and business model.

Donald Trump is going to crash businesses for many Americans and ruin many a small business dreamer's life if he continues upon this course.

But he is a scammer who never gets caught, so I wager that he will instead do the following: He will sell back the tariffs to the highest-bidding nations, who will pay him cash bribes directly into his pocket. He will personally charge China perhaps $100 billion USD to remove this onerous tariff. Then he will instruct his Justice Department fembot to look the other way.

Ice Barbie: I don't see any crime unless it's got a tattoo on it!

Trump is today bragging in the media that world leaders are lining up to "kiss my ass" (sic and the USA has a president that actually usess this gutter level rhetoric). Not even the lowest IQ MAGA believes this obvious falsehood. He is likely scheduling meetings for each to fly to the US with suitcases filled with cash to meet with him personally to pay off this base and corrupt leader.

What a smooth criminal!

He started this lifestyle changover from game show host/pretend businessman to political gypsy with just a small $10 million bribe from Egypt back in 2016 to help him to buy that election, and now he has upped his game considerably. Bush gave him Banon, who gamed Facebook with Cambridge Analytica to convince the "persuadables" to take a risk and sail away on the big Trump dreamboat where eggs are free and the roads are paved with $50 dollar per hour unskilled labor jobs.

When he soon repeals these randomly made-up tariffs for some insignificant concession in a big Trump-style marketing announcement that shall wow many a feeble mind, his exuberant, over conspiracy-burdened Trump supporters shall shout point-blank, at an ear-piercing pitch, pointing and poking at everyone: "Ya see? He's brilliant! The art of the deal, man. What a master of brilliance and negotiation. You dumbocrats don't see so good!" The markets will rebound, although a bit punch drunk, and attempt to continue their sad march forward.

He will likely stash this tariff sales loot in offshore bank accounts, as does his partner in crime and patron, George W. Bush.

I don't think that Donald Trump knows how to spell Tariff, but he does know how to rig an election, and he certainly knows how to run a scam.

I can't wait for the Empire Strikes Back sequel, where he goes to jail for 20 years! Or was that a prequel? I don't know. Who cares.

I saw this George Bush storm coming 10 years and ago and got the hell out of Doge.
